Historic Sites

Historic Sites

St. Croix is steeped in history. The Danish colonial towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted feature some of the most beautiful architecture in the Caribbean. There are historic forts in both towns and there are more than 100 sugar mills still standing on the island. Several great houses and museums are open to the public and the lovely botanical gardens were built around historic ruins.

Humpback Whales

Whale Watching:

From December through April, departing from the Christiansted Boardwalk, you can catch a quick glimpse of the humpback whales when they rise to the surface during mating season.

Deep Sea Fishing

Deep Sea Fishing:

From the Christiansted Boardwalk, you can board for a few hours of deep-sea fishing, and if you are lucky, you may come back with a marlin, a yellow fin tuna, who knows, even a shark?
